Thanks guys.. Looks like i'm off to Wally World after work for a tub.. Hope my Emporer 400 is enough to keep up with the water in a tub with a ray in it.. Being that's the only left over filter i have that is still cycled..

Emporor should be fine..... Just keep up on the waterechanges.... I'd be doing them frequently, twice a day. Or just spend the money on a liner and a few bricks..... LOL

300 is 6x5x17", and as far is filtration goes i have 2 FX5's and a 300gph Fluidized bed filter.. Bed filter is filled with sand and the FX5's are filled all 3 trays with bio max.. What other filtration should i add ???
Forgot to mention the hen hybrid isn't mine, just ray sitting..lol So i can move her out when ever.

As far as the pup goes she's just cruising the tank and no-one messes with her, should i still move her?? I def don't want her to get killed off..

His tank is 6' X 6' so it has plenty of floor space, I think he just needs to up his volume of filtration.

oh ok, well then, yea i would agree on the filtration, im use to people talking about a 300 and it being an 8x2x30ish

Will probably just do the tub, that way i can keep her in the house and not in the garage with the others..

i would seperate the pup... how are you going to make sure she can eat? I would suggest a sump system to go with the fx5s

I guess i'll start looking for a 55 or something to make a sump out of..
I had her eggcrated off in the front corner of the tank but she's a little escape artist.. Everyday when i get home she's out with the rest of the crew..lol I have to figure out a better way to keep her until i find a 40 gal breeder..

I'd go HUGE on the sump if it's possible.... 125 or more. That way you can kill 2 birds... Nice wet dry and section a part off so that you could have a nice lil fuge for emergencies.... Like this..... Plus more water volume=better water quality.

got any acrylic? you can make a cage out of your eggcrate, with a acrylic bottem and hang it from the top of your tank.... i think fishdog made one... ill find the thread for ya, i did the same for my newborn pups (in a week) so i dont need to remove them from the water at all just put them into the cage.

Buy a 300 gallon rubbermaid and go huge on the filtration. Then you won't have to worry about anything but clean water LOL!
