I think the JD has a more a problem with the texas than the texas does with the JD.
So far my JD just flares his gills... Hopefully it doesn't get too heated over the next couple days :O
It's funny because the JD is about 1/2 the size yet he's all in the fight. He just looks so tiny lol.
Is it normal for convicts to be stressed longer than regular fish when introduced into a new tank?
yeah, as far as being blue or green texas, may just be the photos'? deff not a red though.
to me it is also sort of weird that the JD is being so aggressive. the JD's i have had in the past have always been more passive.
it is also weird that the convict is being shy... the one convict i had, at one point i had no place to house him and decided i would just risk it and toss him in with my african community, immediately when i threw this 1" fish in with my 3-6" african community, the convict flares up and does not back down to ANYTHING.... he stayed fully colored and ate within 5 minutes of being in that tank... he is truely a beast
