:p well you never know it could be possible.
I almost bought some african Cichlids a few days ago but I decided against it because it would have made me uncool. They were called Blue Peacocks I was to embarrassed to buy them for fear of the female cashier worker laughing me out of the building. :grinno: :p

that makes u seem pretty pathetic

they will fight when they meet each other. until one loses and becomes the submissive one and will try to avoid the winner.

unless they were raise up from eggs/young in the same tank, then they wont fight each other..

It may work in a big tank (55+) with lots of plants, hiding spots, etc. When they meet, they will fight, until one of them gets away or submits and then gets away. Since we all know everything we read on the intarweb is true, I'll also mention that I read somewhere that the aggessiveness is sorta being darwin'd out of them thru selective breeding for the fancy finnage. Can't tell by mine - they get along fine wiht teh corys and platies I have, but their reflections or even a pic of another fish with long flowing fins sets them off.

Good rule of thumb for bettas is that yes they like to fight and keeping them together is highly unlikely BUUUUUUUTTTT, if you can provide them with 50gallons each and place them on opposite corner of the tank. and there are lots of plants then you can have two betta males together. Another thing is if you want them to not fight introduce a bunch of females and that will keep them occupied.

If you throw some big fish in the big tank with them... like big Blood Parrots and Clown loaches, the bettas wil be so intimidated they will cower in their respective corners. But eventually they'll cross paths and one will hurt or kill the other.

PS Crowntails are vicious.
