2 New baby Aros

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Ok There seems to be a lil tension between the two.... I havent seen any fighting but the are staying on opposite ends of the tank now and one acts a lil nervous around the other... any suggestions on this situation.

started out with 2 one killed the other. watch out for aggression between the 2 of them maybe add a third. got mine eating diced up shrimp and floating carnivore pellets.

Nice little silvers.

I'll say what someone else will eventually say...get a bigger tank!

Just messing with ya. Although, I would like to know what size tank you do have and what are your future plans? I would just try getting them to eat what Bderick said. You can try pellets after they're eating a little, but soak them first to soften them up a bit. New Life Spectrum floating pellets are already softer than Hikari or Omega One, too.

tank is 75g.....do u think i should get a third one... i would like two keep them paired....so would it be wise to get a third and see if they pair up on their own....and do these guys ever leave the top of the tank, mines just seem to stay at the top.. i have small guppies at the bottom but the wont eat them unless there around the top. And no i dont plan on keeping them on live food...

Aros are top water feeders...they are small now but expect at least 1 inch per month growth...Soon they will outgrow that 75gal...I wouldn't worry about pairing up Aros in anything other than a large outdoor pond...

i do plan on getting a bigger tank but....y you say dont worry about pairing them up...im not trying to breed them or anything just want 2 in my tank..i dont know if the two i have now will try to take each other out eventually.

you just have to divide the tank with a clear divider so hopefully later, later in the year they could be possible tank mates in an undivided tank. i learn from experience and that was how i did it with 2 a that size.

feelin ill try things your way cause 1 is now clearly larger than the other and is chasing the lil guy around
