Get a jardini for the top water and bichir for the bottom.

I wouldn't recommend it-Jardini are really aggressive and would fight with your cichlid in the long run. If the OP had a larger tank maybe you could do a Bichir-but a lot of times Bichirs get killed in the long run by cichlid.

Well after all this , I decided to go with a male jag for the 90gal instead of the red devil. But the red devil will come down the road.. once I get my fish room finished..
