2 Patio Pond Building and Growout Thread

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
As soon as I saw those nice pics of that adult dragonfly, I was thinking that we would soon see a thread from you about a dragonfly larva in your pond..."What is this? Will it eat my fish? Will they eat it? Can I eat it? How big will it get? Is it dangerous? Should I kill it? What should I do?????"

And sure enough, as I had my morning coffee today, scrolling idly through the new posts...there it was! Like clockwork! Just as I had imagined it! :)

I was especially fond of that one question...when you asked how many of your fish the thing would eat...

Can I eat it?
LOL!!!
I still have one in my pond atleast, and I’m glad I decided to take fry out of the tank for them to grow. Speaking of, they are Jordanella fry, so what should I feed them? should I take out the fish in there currently and put them in my terra tank, or let the nymph eat them? Should I pull out as much fry as possible and try to raise them? From what I can tell there are 3 barbs left and atleast 3 Flagfish. They’ve been gorging themselves on algae, and I don’t want that to spread to my terra tank.
