2 tanks into 1 tank

Buy a new bottom piece and then use the four long sides to form a new 4'x4' "breeder" configuration.

19" tall standard double nickel (55) You could also fabricate a top and bottom rim fairly easilly with the existing pieces and some two part epoxy.

I love the square footprint of breeder tanks anyway and the more I think about it the more convinced I am I'd like to find a pair of used double nickels and a 4x4 chunk of glass for a bottom along with 4 triangluar pieces to put in the top corners to eliminate the center bracing. 48"x48"x20" 190 gallon breeder, arow, or ray tank anyone?

my only concern is if the glass would be thick enough?

It would be with the corner bracing. Use the remaining sides and cut them into perfect triangles and then connect them in the corners Euro style. Use the remaining pieces to reinforce the BOTTOM...under the gravil...in the same way and you should eliminate flex.

why cant you ...just get a custom tank??? or just get a 75 gallon....

because i am 14 and dont have a job just 20$a month allowance and already have a 55.

But if you mess up both tanks then you will have only a rubbermaid container full of fish. Not a bad idea, but you should have a back up plan incase your atempt fails.
