Was told to do so, never kept pup this small before :) Can someone to give me an idea what ya'll do? Temp, feeding, lighting, and all the goody :)

temp at 90 is ok for a bit.i have maintained higher temps for months without bad results and with all sizes of rays, dont dump your temp.lower it a degree a day until your around 85.make sure theirs enough air in the tank and feed live black worms.also small pups will often feed on mysis shrimp too.infact i raised all my smallest pups on mysis just used live blackworms to get them eating than started to mix the foods togather and feed at the same time.they would just start eating mysis thinking it was blackworms?
thats was my method when i brought in some 3 week old black rays from h20 last summer.also added a bit of salt not much a measuring cup full for the 90 gallon they were in.

turn the lights off until it eats and dont lower the temp much unitl you know it eats.but make sure you lower slowly

also put some sand in the tank get live black worms and dump a bunch in their.they will live in the sand and the ray will eat them when ever it feels like munching

I assume from the response that they came from you? In which case I think he just needs to be asking you the questions and simply feeding whatever you were feeding them on....a care sheet is a good "added value" item in this case.

If my pup was not eating I would be speaking to the breeder only and doing whatever they said...and I would have asked in advance what I need to be feeding.

The advice you have given sounds correct and this is what I mean by listening to one person only...if not you are jumping fro. One thing to another an causing stress for owner and fish.

This is why monsterfishkeepers.com is here for, give advice and to help others with their problem. Eventhough some of us are "experts", we can still learn a little bit here and there.

Just was informed this thread was started for another ray he has and not the one I sold him so sorry for the error.

It okay mike. Still looking forward to getting some new blood to collection :) Pm me when you have more.

Beside Mikes very good advice of heat, I'll recommend a weak current to keep the rays active. Small live feeders to keep the ray active and entertained seems to help too. Plus the added benefit of live food having good nutritional content.

Basically treat it like a child. :)

I will treat it more then a child, since we paid top $$ :)
