I'm not jealous of Michigan in any way. I actually think Michigan sucks. All people ever do from their is brag how they are better than others and brag about their non native fish that are dwarfs compared to where they come from.
Michigan is only better then other states because its boardered by so many freshwater lakes and if non natives arnt your thing why dont you try for walleye, smallies, muskie, lake trout and lets not forget lake sturgeon.

So its better than georgia with the world record bass and several large resovairs that hold giant catfish and strippers. Interlaced with trout streams. Home to the brook trout and a place with mountain lakes with walleye and sauger. While at the other end of the spectrum there is a terrific ocean fisheries of pelagics and bottem fish. All in all we have almost everything just no salmon.

yes georgia has some good bass fishing, and Iam sure some big cats. When I think catfish tho and Iam looking to travel it wouldnt be my top place for catfish, my top would be the mississippi river. For bass Georgia would be the top and Iam not talking largies I am talking about the many other more important small bass species that call your state home. Now strippers I dont know much about them in your state but thus far the best ive heard is lake cumberland kentucky for hog strippers.

We have three major lakes for strippers, lanier alatoona, and west point. Also about catfish we have a major infestation on the altamaha river where the average is like 20 pounds, problem is they are eating everything.

whats the lake record for these stipers if you know it? if not oh well. 20 pounds are some big cats, our flatheads average around 10, while channels 15-20 inchers.

Michigan is amazing. I'm not a huge fisherman and for the most part I just catch bluegill, sunfish, bass, and catfish when I go fishing but I love fishing here because you never know what you're going to catch. I basically just fish on white jigs and hope for the best. I've caught almost everything there is to catch here at one point in my life on them aside from sturgeon, trout, and salmon.

I could care less if I'm going to set a record anyways, regardless I'm going to throw it back anyways. Fishing is fishing wherever you go.

ahh good reasons just like the st.joe river I fish you never know what its going to be when you make a cast could be anything from a bluegill to a stipper/ or wiper.
