Tank Size: 150g (72 1/2 x 18 1/2 x 28 1/2)
Filtration: 2 x Rena XP3s (Plus 1 Powerhead)
Stock: 8 Giant Danios, 6 Yoyo Loaches, 3 Severums, 1 GT*, 1 BN Pleco
I'm curious if I have enough filtration on my main tank, if I don't with the two XP3s will one FX5 be enough?
My thought process: I have two 55s that I will be setting up this spring, I was planning on getting some AC110s for them. However, the thought came to mind that if I don't have enough filtration on my main tank, I can just buy a FX5 and then put an XP3 on each of the 55s. I know the more filtration the better but if I don't have to drop $300 for an FX5 then I wouldn't want to. I'm just not entirely sure if the two filters I have now are suitable for my tank/stock list.
*I'm currently growing 3 out right now and will pick the best looking one and then either return the other two to my LFS or give them to someone in the local fish club; all 3 are juvies right now.
