Here's one I cut about 10 years ago. It's a Triceratops skull about 3" long. Also cut from mammoth ivory.

Here's an older carving. It's a Dimetrodon carved from a single chunk of petrified palm wood.

Thanx. It took about a month or so. I don't rush these carvings or try to meet any kind of schedule. They're just something to do when I feel creative.

my father inlaw does amazing things with wood.... ive been starting to carve wood.... find it very relaxing....

Dimetrodon is very nice... did you polish the wood naturally with fine grit paper or use a form of poly?
