Your monitor may well be fine, but what software are you using to have your monitor calibrated may I ask? What is the natural look may I ask? Everyone of my pics is natural, this is just the way I set up to take pics of aquariums, isolating the fish by getting smooth bokeh is one thing that many photographers strive to achieve. You do realise that the photography is the capture of light and aquariums are nortorious for not having much light?ultimatejay;2935567; said:My monitor works just fine and "sharpening" that you are doing makes the pictures look fake to me. This is just my opinion. You posted another pic of your Red asian arrow and that to me looks really fake. I prefer the more natural looking pic is all. I'm not putting down your pics, it's just preference is all. I know you have an awesome collection of fish and you take really nice pictures as well.
Regarding the full tank shot- It seems like you are getting a little defensive on this subject. What do you have to hide? I don't see what the big deal in posting a full tank shot is? I think its much more appealing to see a huge tank full of different rare fish all together in one shot then just each fish singled out one by one.
Who is being defensive? Not me I hope...
And who said anything about hiding something? I have posted full tank shots with the same occupants before, so why would you say I am trying to hide something?
Just like you, I have ideas on what is an appealing photograph and a full tank shot is not as appealing to me a shot up close of a single fish. So, to me I don't see what the big deal is on not posting a full tank shot? But , I guess that then means that I am trying to hide something...
