20 gal Brackish?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
No worries, all is well. I know the 10G I have for a puffer is not its final home. Just at the time being, thats the free tank and its just a young puffer. I do not have a stand for a larger tank at the moment, or the space or the tank.

Anyways, this thread isn't about me. This is about what someone can put in a 20G brackish tank. I have never had a brackish tank myself and am trying to set one up. So I have very little knowledge about the subject. Just what I have learnt on this forum, other forums and websites.

I do want to repeat that I was not suggesting anything for the 20G Brackish tank, just stating what a GSP was.

Have a good day everyone and I hope to see pictures of whatever ends up in the tank :)

I have some pretty mollies and 2 fiddler crabs and a snail and I love my little family!

Bitter, The OP asked for fish to put into a 20g. He didn't say it was going to be a grow out tank. You suggest a GSP & BBGs (which the GSP will eat, BTW). You didn't suggest it he got a GSP, it would eventually need a larger tank. This is very misleading.

First off thanks for the input to everyone.

The site listed above states that GSP's will be fine in a 10 (if you click into that species) and are peaceful. However this IS the only info I have seen on them. So now I have two differing sets of info. With the way the site shows it(and as I understand it) I could do a setup like this:

Gsp
3 BB gobys or 1 Knight goby or some fiddler crabs (don't know if I can combine any of those)
A few mollys.

Please correct me if I'm wrong but also keep in mind that I know basically nothing about brackish right now other than I think I want to go for it.

What can Figure 8's go with?

1 F8 needs 15g, so a 20g would be perfect for it & 3 BBGs.
