Be sure not to raise your SG more than .002/week on a cycled tank, or you'll cestroy the good bacteria in there.

Lucky (I think) for me I don't have the tank cycled. So I figured I could cycle it as brackish. Will that work?
That's kinda weird... Most LFS keep their SW fish around that SG. Seems like a waste of a TON of $alt. F8s only need a SG of 1.005. I'd recheck their SG with your hydrometer to be sure 1st & then cycle your tank at 1.005. You can drip-acclimate them to that.
