I am going to be breeding fancy plecos in my 20g. I'll have L-134, L-260, L-66, L-333, maybe L-400.

psss, gar man is 13 year old, how he can find these expensive fancy plecos? Im sure his mom will freak out about the price...:nilly: Or the bristlenose pleco could work out as they are more common. (except the albinos and longfins)

I was 15 when I got mine. I got a royal when I was 14, L-14 when I was 15, and 17 (My age now) when I picked up my colony of L-66, and a GN. Age shouldn't have anything to do with the price.

I know, but still his mom will freak out and im not sure if thats good idea about fancy plecos...

kribensis are easy to breed. just need a cave or pots and alone time. no tankmates i suggest for a 20g. females have a pink belly males have purple bellies and much pointier fins. see my post on kribs babies, i put some tips on how to there.

rebel does have a point..my mom freaked out when i bough a albino channel catfish for $5...i think ill go with live bearers so what species have the biggest batch of babies?

Zebra Danios, White Clouded Minnows or Kribnesis are the easiest for a twenty or you could even do Convicts though they are very aggressive and fairly large.

Its doesnt matter which livebearer produce biggest batch of babies, the LFS wants colorful and nice looking livebearers. Avoid feeder guppies, wild guppies and mosquitofish as they are more common but are dull. Endlers are good bet as they are hot item for the LFS but dont get pure ones, just leave them to specialist to increase their numbers up. Platies are another great idea. Just get very colorful strains of either fancy guppies and platies you can find and breed at your home. Home raised fancy guppies are in great demand as many customers want have hardy but colorful guppies, unlike these guppies from commerical farms. Tiger and Bumblebee platies are recently new strains and they look awesome! Koi swordtails are another new common strains but still hot item.

Avoid glofish! they can breed but cant sell them under the name "glofish"..just dont get why they do that.

Thats about right when it comes to liverbearers and they breed real easy!

for livebearers, try swordtails, they are as easy as any livebearer but get a little bigger
