ah didn't look to see where you were. but yes they're illegal in california. if you ever want more info though, caudata.org has great info, and a bunch of people breed them there so you can have them shipped to you

Tryt some port acaras or blue acaras you could probally do a pair with a redtail shark or some other kind of loach.
