20+ Stingrays Dead in One Night (Calgary)

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
pesticide of fertilizer seems likely as it couldve eaten the flesh and caused the black spots and that could affect them all at once but still im confuddled and :irked:

the strange thing is how much toxins would you need to put into a 10,000 gallon tank

This is sooo sad and I will be watching in the comming weeks and months for some kind of answer. I'm leaning toward human intervention here! But how SICK do you have to be to kill innocent fishes...and underwater puppy's to boot.....so very SAD. :(

maybe well get lucky and the person who did it will fall off a cliff or get mugged lol jk. but that would make me feel better for what he/she did after all, youd have to be SICK IN THE HEAD to harm such beautiful creatures... :banhim:or:banher:from the wold!!

Is it possible that a toxin in the local tapwater got through their water purification units (i.e. heavy metals/ excess of chlorine)? I could definitely see this being a complete accident either by the municipal water supply or by a chemist who works at the zoo.

Again though... if this is foul play, I'll head up the posse.:irked:

im right behind you

Could this possibly be someone on the inside of the zoo. Mabey someone purposly added toxins, this person would most likely need to be working in the zoo or have some good conections.

Look, we can speculate until the end of time and never get an answer. We will just have to keep an eye on the story and see what they find out! Patience my friends!
