earlier on in the year. i kept arowana and stingrays and other large species.and didnt bother with cichlids.
one day whilst surfing the net I came across this image of V.Argentea and from that day on had to get me some and raise a few up to look like how this one does. amazing, dont you think?

NOTE : THIS IS NOT MY FISH. just a reference.

I think they start to Max out at around 14 inches and his look like they are around 5 inches or so. I had some a few years ago and honestly I'm surprised you have this fish in a colony. My dominate male killed off all the others in my tank and he was left with some battle scars that never fully healed. Hows the aggression in that tank among the Argentias?

im suprised too that they arent ripping each other to shreds. mine have allways got on with their tank mates.
all of them are 3'' and staying in the group to pair off and hope to get a breeding pair. :chillpill:

aggression in the tank is very moderate. the dominant male only chases the sub-dominant male (1st pic) at feeding time. i keep them with firemouths, which are smaller than the argenteas and they are more aggressive.
maybe temperments will change once they reach teenagers (6''+)
