  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
if you go oscars as someone suggested please order some wild ones(beautiful) and not those nasty inbred rats at the LFS or petco.... otherwise can't wait to see this badboy stocked! nice setup!!

Here's the latest view after I added some concentrated blackwater I made up in buckets with peat moss and indian almond leaves in boiling water.

It's not quite this dark irl but it's getting to a nice scotch tone.

Nice setup, in all the pics i dont see a fliter, what filter are you running.

As for the fish stocking i wud say go for some angels or some geo's or you can have both, you can some tetra's too.

Looking forward to see the tank stocked. Goodluck

At the moment there's an internal Hailea BT1000 running peat moss, but I've got two Aqua One CF1200 cannister filters that I'll hook up once I start stocking.

Couldn't agree more.

I'm thinking of something like this for the initial stock (adding these slowly, of course):

About 20 small tetras, maybe penguins
Maybe 20 cardinal tetras after I quarantine the hell out of them
6 spotted metynnises (I've heard mixed reports on how destructive they are to plants; if anyone has any stories I'd like to hear them)
2 - 4 biggish catfish (recommendations?)
One black ghost knife... maybe. Again, I've heard mixed reports on how destructive they are to tetras.

I'm trying to go for fairly wild looking fishes.

Advice?

Nice setup good luck with its progress. Send pictures after you add fish.
