210 gallon

at the time that pic was taken I had a ZZ flower horn in there, but he's since then grown out of that tank lol. here's a better pic of him. the other side was a small female flowerhorn which now lives in the tank.

If you do end up making a hood like that please do post pics! i'd really be interested to see it, sometime in Aug i'm going to be building a hood for my 150 so i'll need some ideas and any tips you found for on that size!

Got my tank yesterday,
End result was 100$ for a 220 gallon tank, 2 - 400 watt heaters, and 3 filters...no gravel...
I brought everything home-went to work came home...set up the tank on a bunch of 2x4's and started to fill it...
plugged in the heaters, both work...
plugged in the filters...2 work..one is broken..
tank is full to the rim, i turn off my hose. walk back to teh tank and SPLAAAAAASHHHH the silicon on one corner of the tank where the glass connects separates. all 220 gallons, gone. onto my grass ----i wanted..to cry. : /
i guess the deal was too good to be true...now i'm just mad at the world lol, deciding whether or not i should just sell it as a reptile tank ...or if i should take the time and try to scrape all the old silicone off and resilicone it to make it work again- even if it is a 15-20 year old tank..
 
I say fix it. I would have re-sealed it to start with for that price. Less than $50 in supplies. Your total investment will still only be $150

Yeah thats what ive decided to do...
went out bought a 20$ sealant gun, and 15$ sealant tube...
hoping that once i scrape all of it off, and reseal it...that it (pray to god) holds water..

that was the original deal, but the day of purchase ...i talked him down to 100$ cash.....because he said that the filters might not work..and the heaters might be broken as well...and no stand...so i said 100 or walk..
