A large male Festae will terrorize and/or kill its mate if she is not ready to mate when he is. When they do mate, you have to make sure that you keep an eye on the other tankmates. A breeding pair can annihilate an entire tank over night. That being said, some people have success keeping breeding Festae with others. It really depends on the individual fish.

Thats what I figured but I don't think I'll want to risk any fish in a tank of this size. I really am a fan of catfish and clown loaches; I'd love to have a little school of burmas or pictus and some loaches. That, with a school of SD's or fei feng, would fill up the water column nicely, no?

if you guys have some pictures of your schoolies, that'd be a nice addition to the thread ;)

If you want a nice schooling fish that isn't mean and won't get picked on try a group of clown loaches they are clorful active wil rid your tank of snails and can grow to at least 10 inches.

get 1 severum, 1 male jack demppsey ( forgot if you said if you got one or not ) school of 8 clown loaches, 4 pictus catfish, and 6 silver dollars and 12 BAT tetras! that would look awsome!
