really nice set ups you have and how difficult was it to get the smaller wolf species to spawn never heard of any wolfs spawning in home aquaria pretty neat :)

Hey guys a little update from my Aimara Tank. Better late then never :D

1x VZ Hoplias Aimara (57cm)
400x Paracheidron Axelrodi
17x Anostomus ternetzi (4-5cm)
3x Glyptoperichthys joselimaianus (5-6cm)

To breed the Malabaricus wasn't really hard. I bought a group of 4 young malabaricus and with 16-20cm they build pairs. At this point the other 2 malas had to get out of the tank the pair startet spawning from alone. I'm use my local water. Dont measure ist. After spawning i must seperate the female from the male. The male take care about the eggs until they hatch. Then the rest wa my turn with artemia nauplia an seperate the fry to size.

Thanks for the update.
Did you have the 4 malas in the same tank where your aimara is now? Other size tank? What did you feed them?

Are you planning on trying the same with aimara? :naughty:

Hey guys,
Some current pics from my Aimara tank. All Anostomus ternetzi are fine and the aimara isnt interested.

No Harley the Malas are in different tanks. I bought 4 Malas and about 15-18cm they build pairs and than i sperate them on two tanks. One pair on one tank. But one female get killed by the male after laying the eggs. And the other female get an brutal bite in her underjaw from the male so i seperate all of them after laying eggs.

No Aimara is to expensive to breed for me :D
