220 build update.

Well hopefully the rest of my parts will come in today or Monday. Then I'll fill it and let it run a day or two with nothing in it. Then I will seed it with a crap load of beneficial bacteria from my FX-6 upstairs and I'll transfer the three running aquaclear 110s from my two 55s on to it as well. Then I'll add my fish and keep a close eye on my levels.
Looking better this morning. The lights are mismatched but I'll be ordering a 72" led lights for it. I also have a new piece of Malaysian driftwood in there that is leaching tannins. But once I throw my aquaclear 110s on the back I'll add purigen to them to take out the color. Yeah an almost 30" deep Tank is not the funnest to do work on the bottom.
I like the mismatched lights personally. It creates the illusion of shadows created by the forest/jungle canopy. I only use a single 18" Marineland LED on my 6 foot tank. I have it mounted over the right 3rd of the tank so that the entire left side is in shadow and so is the right edge. It creates a lot of dim or shaded areas that the fish enjoy hanging out in and where there is light it's bright enough to grow sword plants.
Your tank is looking really good. Did you use a specific paint, like Krylon Fusion, to paint the trim black?
