Thank you- Im glad someone is reading as I learn to type- So I have a friend whose 18 year old son had nowhere to stay so I let him stay with me for a little bit- and I wouldnt take money from a friend but I would take labor- like moving many lbs of olympic weights out of the area the tank was going- while he did that I threw the rest of the stand together whie chester worked on the filteration- about an hour later we all had completed our assignments and needed to get biggie the jardini into his permanent residence. The only thing in my head was john and his dryness- not a drop anywhere. Me and chet go the cooler armed with a shirt to wrap him in. I almost drowned with the amount of water that I drank and wore- chet looked nearly as soaked and the jar was still in the cooler. After 3 or 4 tries I got a long sleeve T shirt and we got him on the 1st try-but the floor, tank, stand, cieling, the black arowana tank on the other side of the room, me, chester, the youngster, the arm chair, couch, and my dog named Guy were all soaked. I look over at chester and he was mumbling something about Johns dryness. The jar was home and almost immediatly came up to us and was checking us out like nose to nose which was really great because as big and strong as he was I didnt need him to be skittish. Once again if theres any interest Ill keep on practicing my typing and put up another page on the stand or filter.
Oh heres some pics

4' cooler of 2' jardini and wet carpet

At least you didn't have the Jardini spilled on the floor...!!

I dont think that wouldve been so bad- he couldve swam around the soaked carpet with the rest of us!

Ok so the stand was a skeleton, the tank was not leaking and everyones favorite arowana and datnoid master John (JL) was giving away a 24" monster jardini to one of his friends... well Im his friend! I was second on the list- now Im sure all of you would probably be trying to get your 220 finished up in case you got the call saying that you could come get the jar- not me, I wanted to try another design of trim on the stand, and that doesnt mean the normal go to HD and buy another. Nope, I for some reason am compelled to make things like the trim myself, and on top of that, sometimes I dont really know what I doing until Im done- and then Im good at it for the next time. So there I was making sawdust and John calls to tell me the fish is mine if I wanted it! Hell yeah I want it! Chester came over with his 4' cooler and we were on our way to Johns. John was doing a water change in one of his big tanks- Id tell you about his collection but if you read the buy/sell youd know that he has been selling them all off. I could have hung out with John all day but chester was there and john kept looking at me like cant your friend wait in the car and normally I would have put him in the car but I needed him to lug that cooler with me. So John gets the jar without 1 single drop on the floor, himself, the front of the tank, nowhere! I had to say it out loud that I was impressed. Obvously John is aces in my book and I reluctantly left. When we got back to my house was when it hit me that the 220 was out back, the stand in the garage was only a frame again, and there was a full olympic weight set with a complete powerlifting cage where the tank was going. If there is anyone besides chester left following this thread Ill tell you how we pulled it off next time
LOL its moments like that I dont regret leaving behind my doctor prescribed tobacco water pipes for doctor prescribed klonipin (10Xvalium) :headbang2:headbang2

Very nice job on the stand bro the skeleton looks beastly. So it turns out chester really is a hero. When I was a total noob here (Back to the hobby from a hiatus of bad fishkeeping) I swear chester saved my ass many a times by having some patience and actually explaining a few things.
Also very cool of you to let the kid stay with ya. I spent a year of high school renting a converted garage bathroom basically. Not fun but surprisingly the girls never cared lol gotta love high school.

if you wanna pay me back you could hire me... heck.. while yer at it hire jim as well... i still have a job (as of today 5-2-09).. my guess is this will change by the end of the month... .... ... that kid that was staying with jim was a waste of oxygen and toilet paper... but thats its own lil story of worthless existance...

but back to the waterfight we had with the jar.... the best part about all the water that was everywhere is the part that you cant see.... even our backs were wet... it was friggin amazing...

cool.. i'm glad john gave you the jardini....

anyways.. love to see more shots of the tank once its all set up.. and thanks for the story!
