First of all, one of the most unique and beautiful setups out there. What kind of lighting are you using? Looks like metal halide fixtures. If you are using metal halide lighting you may have some algea issues in the future. Other than that great tank.

yeap, just one hour a day. Set on a timer for when I get home from work. The rest of the time it's white moonlighting and ambient light from the room. I have track lights on the ceiling pointing at the tank if I what to light it up without firing up the MH's.
