Thanks guys, Yes all by hand. Its now almost at 2m deep!! everyone thinks I am insane now :)

Anyways I figured it was an update time as I have finished off my room pretty much and starting to look at purchasing new tanks! Still wish I had more space as I want to go mega big but I am very happy with my options now :). So faring the plan is 1 more 8x4x3 then a 10 x 5 x 4 or so for some saltwater. May also get a second 10fter may not... I want the RTC to have a nice tank but I am thinking of closing in the pond some how then I can keep some space for the sofa and other non fish related items.

I dont really want to type everything up so here are the pictures, feel free to ask questions! ok well not all the pictures have uploaded to the PC so I will write a quickie up ;)

Ok so from top to bot...

- Used a demo saw to cut a trench in my driveway, it slopes towords the fish room meaning water would pile up in front of the door, so far its working great and I had a ball using the demo saw! the guy gave me a 1min demo then I was outside in sandles going nuts! (not safe... dont try at home!)

After got the foil wrapping finished, sealed the lines with foil tape.

- I had to get the roof on asap as the weather is crap down here no matter what season we are in, I installed 120mm thick EPS at VH grade, + a space blanket ( reduces sounds on tin roofs + other benefits ), after simple colorbond sheeting + my box gutter ( did my head in... dam gutters lol). So far it has worked great I will be changing my main rooms roof to the exact same as this one, the insulation is amazing + installing it from the top allowed me to get it air tight! walking on roof beams spaced 900 apart was not fun but..

- Next was the walls, I used 85mm EPS at H grade. Then came the sliding door which looks nice but sliding it is a pest! I couldnt try it out long story, still happy with it for what I paid!

- After I removed the insulation from main room to new room! WOW it was amazing seeing my vision come to life the space!!!

- I cut the trench in the driveway about 9mm too small, sadly with cement theres no tolerance lol not thinking about using the grinder ( was in my mode ) I grab every hammer I had and smacked the cement out about an hour and a half later I had the gutter going in but being 3m long there where other points a few mm out so I gave up, finished it later with a grinder its installed now and works great!

Pictures a bit muddled up sorry!

- Next I decided to move my RTC, She has GROWN!!! around 72cm 1 year and 3 months we averaged it at on the date of the move started at 2 inch!, She is now in a 8.5 x 3 x 2.5 and loving it, I also put some other fish in as testers... then my mates did the same anyways she refuses to eat fish it seems?? we started with a vieja hybrid no issues then a 5inch red devil and no issues to this date (2-3 months maybe more I have been so lost in time) My umbee is also in there now, chases the other fish but leaves the rtc alone so all is good!

- I couldnt get a plaster trolley due to not being able to drive yet... too busy with fish to start my learners at 16 :D! so I used my aquarium trolley I figured it can take my 8x4x3 so heck a plaster sheet is nothing! I used normal mgp and actually worked out better as you can see from the plaster my new room has quite a large slope, building the plaster trolley to the roof meant when I jacked it up I could get it dead flush to the ceiling lvls, then with a collated screw gun I made quick work of it alone. Lifting 3m long sheet was not the best due to the tight corners but I managed without doing too much damage!

Anyways the room is finished now and moved my 8x4x3 into the ext on monday! was lucky my friend came around as was struggling alone you cant really man handle such a large tank even with a trolley its hard lol. I will try to take some pictures tonight or tomorrow after work and update.

Hope this explains some of it, if anyone is a tad lost what the heck was going on. it was a great learning process I have sense decided to go to tafe for a carpenter course takes up my friday night and sats but is great! one day I can build a larger fish room hopefully :).

Ooo... also got the pearsi to breed FINALLY! I havent had time to set up a fry tank but the pair is breeding almost weekly! and I purchased a 6x3x3 + a 75cm mangrove jack (came with the tank) I have never seen a jack so big... all my other fish seem small now he almost dragged me into the tank when netting him...8x4x3 is also maintaining 22-26c in the ext still using the same 700W heat pump the 8fter that sits under it did drop to 17C so I added a heater, hopefully moving up to a 1kw unit will fix this but so far the 700w is working well enough for the time.

Alright! sorry about the glare... pretty sure its the tin foil like film on the roof, Planning to clad the ceiling soon!

Little run down..

- Mangrove Jack with new 6x3x3, Jacks about 70cm, Eats like a pig but never had pellets before!

- Few shots of the room I have now.

- RTC with umbee and tester fish, so far so good she only tries to eat them when they have pellets in mouth.

- 8x4x3 in ext with the cichlids, gave the viejas back as they were getting a bit out of control + the dovii and jags are getting a fair bit of size, was no major issues yet just too many pairs of fish. still have 7 dovii going and king male still breeds with 4 females lol. I plan to move my RTC into this tank but I need to finish setting up the other tiers first.

- Picture of new area, Painted the walls + cement, sadly cement paint is no good so will have to tile around tanks! If you look very close maybe able to see the slope in the floor? the adjustable legs are a must for this, the 8fter under and sump are just on foam and so far all is going well. I need to construct a frame to rest these on then I can level it out a bit but I think being off level only one way is quite safe imo as long as its not back to front and side to side (twisting).

I will also be adding a 8x4x3 next to this one or a 7.5x4x3 depends how hard or easy I want to make it haha, Then a large saltwater tank on the other side, currently looking into cinder block and plywood builds as ideally I want to go 10x5x4, will cost a fair bit even at my rates xD + moving such a thing will be a nutter of a job if I can build on site will be great I also only need to view it from 2 sides. So Far a liner plywood looks good as cant get many liquid sealers here and I have the 0 knowledge with fiberglass but I hear it stinks.

- Pearsi pair.

- Nice blue walls, Can see my dodgey plaster job, not too bad for my first time but its not great also.

- Gutter in place, need to cement fill the sides still....

- tank grave yard lol consists of .... 6 x 4x2x2s, 3 x 6x2x2s, 1x 5x2x80 and various smaller tanks, stands, ponds, tubs , sumps bahahaa. I do plan to set some up again for the cichlids.

Hope you enjoy, I will update over the weekend or so hopefully get quite a bit done by then.

Thanks guys. The massive tanks come from my mate who runs an aquarium store, I have brought pretty much all my tanks off him apart for a few so we are on good terms :D Its also very hard for me to sell a tank off, I will always try to find room for them lol.

I tried to get a video of the jack and measure him ruffly but he got spooked out so I just did a quick spin of the room.

The work and dedication u put into this is amazing. Great job and the fish room looks stunning, I don't think I've ever seen so many huge tanks in one place before. I do have a question, are u planning on setting up a breeding facility for profit or is the breeding part just for fun?

Thanks mate. I dont think I will ever breed for profit, there are some fish I am planning to keep in breeding pairs but not really to sell off fry but I may let some go here and there. The way I look at it I am better off working my day job then breeding, the turn over would have to be massive to be worth while.

I do try to breed fish I know a few friends want but all the rest is natures work.

Will be fixing the bow front today, hopefully this time is the last! I need some where to put peaceful fish lol.

I should also be getting my welder in the next 2 weeks so then I can start making some tiers :D
