Well, today is the day :-)

The build out of the aquarium is set to begin today. We have moved the TV in the living room from where it was, as the new aquarium going to be right there.

The tank is set to be 240 gallons, rimless, measuring 96"x24"x24". Made out of a newer generation acrylic which is scratch resistant.

The 4-chamber sump filter is going to be built along side the tank, and plumbed directly into the tank with PVC for both intake and return.

Sump measurements are 50x16x18 (roughly 62 gallons)

The intake is going to be an internally drilled/threaded PVC elbow. Return pump is about 1200 gph. Return tank is also going to be one way only, so water cannot back down into the filter if the pump stops for whatever reason.

Both intake and outtake are going to have ball valved attached to them.

The 9ft stand which is set to be built today in place is going to be made out of cinder blocks to match the look of the industrial loft I live in.

It is a tank with:
2xOscars
1xBlood Parrot
1xFemale Blue Diamong (Thai Silk) Flowerhorn
5xClown loaches

The cinder blocks are the base/foundation for stand for the aquarium. We went with cinder blocks to match the decor of the rest of the loft. The wood will be used across the top of the cinder blocks to sit the aquarium on the cinder blocks.

What are the center blocks going to be used for?
Is this for your oscar?

I can't either BlueBlaze :-)

The thing that is most interesting to me is the builder is so good at design in general. He designs things that look like Taj Mahal...

He is very detail oriented.
