Ok so I have recently come across a 240 litre juwel aquarium for a silly price so I had to buy it, I want a predator themed tank, either one fish or many, any one have any ideas I'm open to everything at the moment, and I do love snakeheads but would like to try something different

Thanks alot people

you should try the alligator gar and the african tiger fish they are some of the neatest fish you can own or even an aropima as just the one fish you can put in the tank by it self.

You are stupid to buy an alligator gar for that sized tank. Itll outgrow it in a year. Go red tail payara, yellowtail cuda, odoe pike or one of the atf other then goliath. Be prepared to sell anything that gets too big tho. Also wolf fish r wicked but very aggressive

Educate. Not insult :) even though I agree that the suggestion of ATF, arapaima and gator gar is silly. The Op needs to clarify if he/she actually meant 240L or if it should of been 240G because that changes the suggestions big time.

Even still id never put a gar in with tigerfish. Even tho tigerfish have a brutal set of teeth, the armored scales of a gar make it too much of a threat to a very expensive fish. And even a 240gal tank wont give the gator much room by the time its 2 years old and already 3ft long. Same with the arapaima. Go with somethin that will max out around 15-18" or a slow grower

do a micro-predator tank with say a leopard ctenopoma, senegal or palmas bichir, Nandus nandus, a spiny eel(fire would grow too big), pantodon butterflyfish, a couple of pictus cats, and whatever else fits.
