I will say sulawesi is harder to keep imho. But yes, the investment in the chiller is the only thing that is gonna cost the hobbyist. I know i've been put off keeping expensive shrimp coz i don't want to lose my stock, and i definitely don't want to be running a chiller basically 24/7... my electricity bill is high enough as it is...
Although i'm now considering sulawesi shrimp for my future tank, since they prefer warm water rather than cold water...
