that looks about the damage mine has gotten before. i have also noticed the eel likes to bite at the tigs mouth/gill area.

Man this is really interesting. This is the first I have ever seen of this and now people are popping up with the same experiences.
Anyone have this happen with smaller cats with whiskers such as synos?
Or maybe other body dwellers in general (rays, polys, loaches?)?

I've seen my Tire Track chase the lapradei once in a while when the lap settles into the TT's java fern. It looked like he was nudging him away with an open mouth, mostly pushing the lap just behind the gills.
No bites that I could tell, but poly's have incredible scales for protection. Eels do have quite a grill though....
And here I'd always thought I should be concerned that the ornate or lap doesn't one day eat the TT
