I know. I’m only doing some cave tetras, 4 bb cats and 6 stone cats.

Might or might not do stone cats. Depends on how many cave tetras they bring in for me. I’m expecting 4-6 and if that’s right then I won’t be getting stone cats except for maybe 3 at most.

Would the sand substrate be okay for the cave tetras or should I get some black gravel to spread ontop of the sand a bit

Sand is fine for them. Do you know if you are getting them with or without eyes? Just curious.

Without eyes is what I was told but they’re aren’t 100% sure, in the past they’ve only ever had them without eyes so that’s what I’m expecting

This is crazy. I was at petco and got a couple bits of small driftwood and I was just dropping them in and noticed a tiny bit of water splashing around so I look at it and this little guy I guess was on the bottom of one of the wood bits and snuck his way into the bag

About 6 is usually the best minimum shoal for tetras.
