2x fx5's running as 1????????

ditto... This sounds really odd. Swapping hoses wont do you any good in this situation somethings screwy :irked: I wish I could take a look at it. I broke down and opened one of my FX5's earlier today and checked out the DVD it came with cool filter! Tempting to throw it on one of my tanks but they are more than maxed out and stable :screwy:

No m8 im not running them together! Im not the type of bloke that doesnt listen to people, i hear what you lot were saying so did not do it ;) Its exactly like i said and i dont think u can have the lids on the wrong way as the tubes seem to only go 1 way i cant turn the lid around :irked:

Huh? One tube sticks out from the cover and the other slides into the cover. Did you remove the one intake tube from the cover to put on another way?

There is 2 running (seperatly) on 1 the intake is sucking water from the tank and on the other the intake is pushing water back into the tank,

I guess I misread your post. I read the word separately but then I read (on 1 intake). Thought the word "the" was a mistake and the rest not making sense at the time. lol. There was no periods so it got me mess up sorry.
 
Its ok dude, it had me all confuzzled and im the 1 looking at the problem :ROFL:, i never took any tubes out just had the lid on the wrong way lol i noticed it was wrong when i looked at the fluval fx5 sign on the top, it was facing the other way to the 1 that is working properly, they are now both running perfectly ;)
 
Ok, thats good. Still don't follow 100% as to how you had the cover on backwards but thats ok :) :)
