3/4" drains for a 220?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I got the tank tonight for $250. Really happy to say the overflows are 1-3/4". Should be able to handle a large turnover rate. I'm looking into pumps now. Seen a few reeflo snapper hybrids for sale, might try one. The sump I got with the tank (48x18x18) is not drilled so I'm also considering using a submersible pump. Any recommendations welcome. Thanks

Ok thanks. Moved the tank into the basement this morning. Much harder than I thought, we ended up chipping one piece down the front corner or the tank. It is about 1/4" chip out of the 1/2" glass, the chip does not reach the inside seal. I'm super pissed but live and learn I guess. I'll get a pic up soon

Bummer, I hope it doesn't affect the tank. Big glass tanks are a bear to move for sure, especially on stairs where you can't get as many people around it.

Ya moving it into and out of the van was no problem..navigating the side door, turning and going down the stairs was very difficult. Here are some pics of the chip

Ya it is. I have the piece, it is just a thin black trim slapped on the outside to cover up the bottom. It's not a structural trim.

I don't even care how it looks as long as it holds water.
