Merry Christmas everyone!

Yea, this little guy has a new home in Cali, owned by a member "Chomper" here.

I mostly feed all my fish hikari bio gold now. After pro longed feeding of hikari bio gold over other FH specialized foods, I noticed that the color washes out a little bit but the FHs get much thicker and healthier. I guess for bringing out the colors/kok FH specialized food is better, but I can sacrifice some of that for a happy, healthy, and long living beloved pet!:D

Kevin, I am ready for the KML!:nilly::D

JP I agree, I have noticed that when I was feeding my FH only bio-gold that their color faded a bit, so what I do now is I mix foods together in a contianer and it has been working very well for me.

I mix hikari bio-gold, hikari gold, and Hai-Feng color fast. I also give frozen blood worms and a spirulina/brine shrimp frozen cube as treats every couple days.

My fish's color seems to be excellent and they are very active and healthy, and they are also developing good solid shape.

I'm thinking to add grand sumo red to the mix, maybe replace hai feng color fast.

Possibly chingmix too.

I am sure it's the Hai feng that's bringing out the color for your case. Hai Feng is known to be the one that brings out the color most over all other FH foods. I don't even want to find out what they use in it and will not use them for my fish.

Really? So is it known for being bad for fish?

Any suggestion on what I should switch to?

I am not saying they are bad, it's just iffy for ME(my personal opinion) to use on my beloved fish. If your diet plan for your fish works for you, continue with it. I just feed my FHs hikari bio gold only as a staple, and for snacks I feed them MP,dried anchovies, sushi grade tilapia and etc...
