Mile High in Northern AZ, baby!~
I been toying around with this overflow for a while now...
I have .75" bulkhead fittings on the upper 1/3 of the back wall on the tank.
I have a .75" MPT to 1" slip adapter,
that is passing through the wall of a 12" long x 3" ABS pipe
then there is a 90 degree "L" and then a 1" scd 20 PVC pipe reaching down to 1" from the bottom...
Not showing is the 3" cap for the bottom of the overflow
and the slots cut into the top of the 3" ABS pipe...

Please leave your thoughts and comments...
Will it work, why not, let's talk about it...

i think you need better pics of your plan. your discription seems vague, and the pics look like a big tube w/ an elbow thru the side. but thats what i got anyways, maybe i'm tarded.

the black pipe is substituting for your standard in tank overflow, the pvc male threads into the bulkhead in the back wall of the tank.

so i am goin to say its drilled then ya why go building the space shuttle when you can use a 90?

the only benefit i could think would be it acting as a sedamint bowl catching bigger stuff before the sump

yeah i guess, if you enjoy trying to clean out overflows.

really what other reason for it tho? but it would collect solids.
