3 Bar Indo or Thinbar?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
So, we got another dat in today at work. I was hoping for it to be an oddball IT to reassure me I got a 3 bar IT. Didn't happen.. another dat with 3 bars, there were very subtle differences from the one I got, the neck bar doesn't connect like mine does at the base of the neck. Also the back tail stripe was a bit thicker than mine. I'm pretty convinced they're NTTs because the odds of getting two 3 bar ITs in a row are almost impossible. Regardless I'm happy I got mine because I think it looks pretty good. Anyways, time will tell for sure but for now I'm going with NTT.

It's a toughy...but I think I'm still going to stick with IT.

not hard at all if you know what your talking about its a thin bar NTT

it has a full neck band which is hard to find

the stripes on thin bars are thicker when they are so small but get thinner as the fish grows and the full neck band may also fade you wont know if its going to stay until about the fish is about 7-9 inch

why do people love to push fish up to the glass would you like it

all the people who are saying it could be a IT come on guys most of you have been keeping tigers for some time now the only ones you should have trouble telling apart are IT and ST

Ya that is a NTT fo shizzle.

Ya that is a NTT fo shizzle.

its a thin bar for sure and most of the people saying it could be a IT have been around the tiger forum for months now it should be so easy for them to tell one from the other

when i started keeping tigers i researched them a lot before even buying one

its not hard to tell ANY tiger apart with the exception of ST and IT even them with a little bit of research you stand a good chance of IDing them correctly

i think is fairly important to research the fish you keep

its the people who post i don't keep or have any but i say ST are the real jokes

My cousin has a NTT just like that, but its smaller then yours so yea i agree NTT :) IT have an extra stripe and are closer together like our other indos if you still have your other dats

Sad news.. This little guy passed today. I tested the tank and the ph was really low and I think if it wasn't the whole whole reason it contributed. I'll be testing my tanks more often now.
