3-Bars Indo or ST? Part 2

2 of my six look just like the first one with the 2 body bars w/ indo tail and I was told it was an IT I am not going to argue about it because I am happy with them.

but if the past owner, current owner and apparently the future owner fight for them being true ST's even though it is "hard" to ID the pics (even though one is clearly an IT) then all I can say is awesome ST's there.

you might want to call Jerry Springer for a DNA test....

I am glad I didnt pay top ST dollar for them, as ST's are $100's more then IT's...

In your extensive and educated experience can you please sir tell us how, from the pics provided, the first fish is "clearly" an IT?

I would love to hear you say something besides the number of stripes on the fish's cadual peduncle...

well the fact that it looks like my IT's so unless you are saying that I have a bunch of ST's then great but I know for a fact that they are IT's...

so lets put a spin on it like this....

other then the oddbars what makes it a ST? (insert Jeopardy theme song here)

so instead of I guess demanding it is a ST and telling us to prove it wrong then try and say we cant, how about we call it an IT (cause duh!) and you prove that it is a ST...

after all why try and rip people off this isnt what they community is about... at least I hope not.

if you want my opinion the 1st pic looks like IT

i recomend that if their is any doubt in your mind if it is IT or ST then walk away

if its ST you want so badly then their will always be that thought in your mind that it maybe IT

I love this thread...very interesting members and knowledge here. Everyone have they own opinion and i do respect that. It's really hard to tell when it got a 3 bar with IT tail or body shape. All of you make some good sense here and I would love to hear more.

The main reason I brought this topic up is not bashing on Blacktip that he sold me the wrong fish nor im not happy with the fish. Im just as picky as some of you are, and yes IT or ST is just a name to call and price.

However I would love to know what exact Dat I got or owe becuase in feature if im trying to sell this as a ST and ask for ST price but its IT people would laugh at me.

T1 I really do aggreed with you on the quality Dat which doesn't matter if it IT or ST. Both Dats are great.

Now come to the price I said a good quality of IT and ST should or would have cost the same. Price is just giving more becuase the name of ST or IT. No matter what I have some nice collection of Dats in my tank.

I say it's both ST not just because it make me feel better or make me look like both are ST. Because the fish are sold to me as ST and i bought it as ST there for in my book right now (unless you know the collection point ) both of these dats ARE ST.

Dude I dont want to sound rude here but how does your brain work?

Just because it was sold as a ST doesnt make it an ST... all that means is that you paid more then an IT that size is worth and you are just trying to justify ripping off the guy you sell the "ST" to because you got taken...

Sticky I think you just bought two awesome dats, but my reasoning in that thinking the first one is an IT, is that it looks like a completely different type of dat when looking at the body shape, head, and snout.

To me, they dont even look like the same type of fish, but that is just my opinion and that's what this thread is all about!!! I could only wish that my dat grows up to look as nice as those you have. I hope you enjoy them for many years!

as soon as looked at the 2 pics side by side I saw the differences, but look great but I dont think you should turn around and sell it as a wide bar just because you paid the widebar price... since you said you self you plan on selling them.
