It might be possible for ceratodus.com to sell a broodstock specimen like this. Figure in the neighborhood of $100K and you'll be close.

Never happen. The Austrailian government is very strict in this department. How do I know? I asked to buy some broodstock.

None of the african (Protopterus) LFs species can be trusted in comm setups. SA LFs are OK provided tankmates are too large to swallow and the LF is decently fed. AULs, too, can do well in comm setups.

Based on your experience, do you know Aussie lungfish suitable for pleco tank.

they are sum huge lungs!

My uncle had a large African lung in a mixed community tank, 20" silver aro, Jack Dempsey, Green Terror, Jaguar cichlid and a few Pleco.

The lung was about 3 feet long. We donated it to a museum because he was still growing, the museum put him in a 1000 gallon aquarium with a few other fish, and gave us a free pass to come see him. They killed it about a month after they got him.
