I went to visit my parents over the last month. My dad use to be an active fish keeper but not so much anymore. When he retires he'll likely get back into it. He gave me 2 of his tanks a 20g "W" and a 25g. He said he has some filters and misc. stuff in the crawlspace I could have to so I went into the deep dark dungeon and came up with (2) 20g filters and some 30 year old brine shrimp eggs still sealed in their glass vial and never opened.
When I got home I cut the top off a 2L pop bottle to make a primitive hatchery. I salted the water according to the directions and have a heater heating the water to 80F. I have an air-rater bubbling away in there as well as a bright light shining over the whole thing.
Will these 30 year old eggs even hatch or am I just wasting my time? I thought it'd be fun to try anyway.
