Hey guys, I thought I'd share this shot of my tank's moonlights. I think it looks pretty cool.
The lids are open because I had to patch a couple of spot on the lids with epoxy.

This is a very tight tank. You did wonderful craftsmanship on it and your ideas were just as good. LOL! Really awesome aquarium. One question what is a moonlight and were did you get it?

i have just one question if you may , how do you fasten the glass window and how do you make it leak proof i mean the glass to glass connection. thanks

Outstanding job. Congrats. Luv the tile work-nice touch. Gives me an idea for mine...

so i'm gonna bump this here thread and hopefully you're subscribed to it. what's the status of this monster?

i'm planning a plywood in the 225gal range. I enjoy the look of taller tanks and wanted to go to about 40in high if it's safely doable. What do you think?

Also, what made you go with 3 viewing sides? Everything I've read says it's probably a no no on bigger tanks, but you disproved that well.

In fact, i feel like you underbuilt the tank if anything. Only 3/8 in glass, etc etc, but it seems to be holding up well.

You're brave for filling it for the first time in your house. I'd leave it parked in the garage for a whole month out of nervousness!

How much did it cost?
What are you going to put in it?
j/k :) i applaud you for continuously answering the same questions over and over. It's obvious from the build though, that you have ALOT of patience. Please reply with how the tank is functioning, how the behind background filtration system is working. Everything. I want to pick your brain!

Thank you so much for the info and interesting read.

Just read your thread from start to finish and I think you've done an amazing job.

Nice work :)

wanting to build something similar on a smaller scale. not sure of my plumbing and filtration needs yet. thanks for the photos. i'll be using them as a base to go off of.

not sure i"m experienced enough to full understand the sump concept. what filtering medias will be used?

Super nice!!! This is exactly the setup I am looking forward to building myself after my move into a new home this coming summer. I would love to know the type of sealant you are using and the corresponding processes involved if you don't mind. Keep us all informed... Looks great!
