but how does the grain come out?
I used wood stain. It's a dye, not paint. So the grain shows through the stain... Even gets a little highlighted here and there.

I worked on the tank over the weekend and the only thing that I successfully did was to make my living room look like it was a disaster zone.
I cut and epoxy-ed the holes in the back of the tank for the return line from the sump and where the electric wiring will go through. Added some conduit to help keep wiring OUT of the water. Siliconed one of the side windows into place. Cut the panels for the canopy. Cut a board for the sump to sit on. Made some spray bars. And did some varnishing.
But if you look at the tank, it doesn’t look like I did anything… :irked:

Will post pics as soon as there is something worth taking a pic of.

Check point reached. No leak BONUS!!! Proceed to next checkpoint! :headbang2
Here are a couple of pics of the fill. Nerve wrecking experience... :nilly: But there were no creaking noises or anything of the like. I checked the bowing effect on the tank while filling and it maxed out at 0,4mm (0,016"). So all looks good so far.
Freaking drift wood just took a leak in tank over night :irked:

Filling

I stopped filling at this point. I'll test the overflow later this afternoon or tomorrow.
