300 Gallon Purchase - Manufacturer

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I never used CLR on a tank but always thought about it. I would like to hear how it worked for ya.

That is a nice tank...it looks like an allgalss reef ready tank with those curved overflows. I would sell everything you dont want cheap so you can get the tank for free!! Altho you might be able to use that sump and pump for your fresh tanks setup.

Also what kind of lights are they??

Thats kind of what I was thinking. The prices were for new though. I googled the manufacturer and model online. I'm sure it would be a 3rd of that price used. I will probably keep some of the saltwater stuff. I may start a saltwater tank later. You know alot more than me on the aquarium maker/designs, so I will take you word for it. I'm not sure if all glass is good or bad, but it seems like a nice tank. There was a date on it that said it was manufacured in 2005. I will let you know if the CLR removes all of the buildup and hopefully not the silicone.

All glass is a great tank I think! Does it have a Durso type standpipe in the overfloe chamber? I think they came with something like that on the all-glass tanks.

Nice deal you got there. I'd go ahead and use at least the filtration that came with it. If you decide to get a bigger more "utilitarian" monster tank for the garage I'd suggest this:

Fiberglass tanks with windows. MONSTER.

man that is a super idea. I wonder why more people don't take this approach? You can buy one of these for less than it would cost to build. Do you have one of these?
