300 gallon SA/CE community build thread!!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Thanks so much! The sponges in the pond boxes have never been cleaned yet as they are super coarse and are more bio than anything especially with the 50 micron socks. Ive used a 50 and a 100 the whole time the tank has been set-up. Usually have to change them every 4-5 days with all the loricariids.

It's been about 18 months since we started this one and things have been pretty cool all around. A few rehomes along the way with the cichlids. The con and JD have ben moved to a 90 in the garage to make space for the Argentea and Jag. We added real Pothos to the overflows and usually we hit about 15ppm nitrates every week to week and a half.

And some pics. Thanks for checking it out!!

There's the festae that made me ffall in love with them in the first place. I've had mine for over a year now. Gorgeous pictures and tanks as always. Thanks for the inspiration.

I need to spark up my fish life

Thanks Taylor! This entire build is centered around "Scarlet" (Festae). Hopefully, she'll allow tankmates when she's 12" or so.....crossing my fingers
