  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Wow! I was contemplating getting rid of my big tank, but I think you have inspired me. Great build! Love the stock!

Thanks man! Stock is stable for the moment lol. All cichlids back in and seeming to agree with each other....for the moment

Thanks everyone!

Few updates on the tank as of late. The female Festae has been really turing into something special and originally wasn't planning on breeding her. Been looking around for a large male for bitDSC_4232.JPGDSC_3726.JPGDSC_3769.JPGDSC_3595.JPGDSC_3696.JPGDSC_3527.JPGDSC_3550.JPGDSC_3835.JPG and found one. Thanks to aclockworkorange rescuing and treating this fish back to health, I've acquired a pretty large male (12"). He still a little thin, but is eating really well once he was introduced to the tank. As a matter of fact, he eats better than any other fish after about 2 weeks in the tank...

Current stock is now

12" Festae (male)
12" Managuense
12" Argentea
8" Pearsei
7" Festae (female)

12" common
7" L75 x2
6" L204

4" sd's x6

The Festae have definitely claimed a side of the tank and the female has colored up a lot. Male has as well, but these pics were taken within the first 24 hours, so he's still got aways to go before he's totally comfortable. Only time will tell, but it looks as if they are headed in the right direction .....

simply beauitiful. so nice to see such a large tank that has so much thought and love as opposed to bare bottomed etc with just one large fish,

Thanks so much! Yeah I don't stripped down setups but I prefer decor .... Fish seem to as well. Cichlids and plecos are constantly digging in the sand and the wood breaks things up a bit.

BUMP this thread up top so I can say how impressed I am with this. Great job and a stunning setup all around. You should have bragged a lot more in person when we talked about this. LOL
