Hi,
Great tank and thread.....Nice setup and hardware/software...
The open frame stand design works well as you can 'skin' it in many ways....
It must stink in a way to have a nice tank (not to mention family) but you travel so much...
I guess the webcam can be a poor substitute
As an FYI, mounting the lights higher (if possible) will provide greater spread and may eliminate the need for the smaller fixtures? I have a sliding cable system for my lights and there is a noticeable and measurable difference in PAR in the darkest areas simply adjusting the height of the fixture..
Best of luck with it!
Heres some shots showing stand assembled , koralias in place and 2 lighting looks. I actually have three different lighting settings that ill post up a little later when the lunars kick on. Theres one that will simulate dusk and dawn, another for full daylight and the last is full lunar. Eventually, they will be on dimmers so all looks will fade in and out with no sudden lights on or off.
The stand has three black acrylic panels that attach with velcro. Makes is really easy to work around the sump being designed this way. Wish all my tanks had access this easy....
