Thanks so much! The beauty of ordering a tank and having to wait, is it gave me lots time to plan, and I changed a lot in the planning stages. The drains alone were redone mentally about three times before I got my head wrapped around how I was going to achieve everything I wanted. I wish all my tanks were this planned out lol. It's by far the most quiet and trouble free one I've ever operated.

Thanks so much!

Thanks Egon. Your build threads were actually an enormous help with my setup. I spent a lot of time in your sig lol

I'm a really big fan of your setups as well. Thanks so much for the inspiration. Still trying to figure out the constant drip system. supply is not a big issue, but my location SUX for drain line.........

LOL thanks for the props :)

The drain is the hardest part, I just drilled a hole out to my yard. Then I burried the line for about 20 feet away from my house and the line pops back up in some bushes. From the bushes I have a garden hose that I move to each tree/bush in my yard so they all get some good fishy water and I don't get any puddling. It was a PITA to set up but now I'm happy. Every week or so I move the garden hose to another location. No more water changes.

^^ It's not where to put the drain or where to cut/ drill the hole, but how to get there. Im on a slab so I can't go down, and this tank , literally, sits in the middle of our house. In order to run a drain, I'll have to go up and over something and I have a second floor to contend with going up, in some places. Halways to the left, walkway to the right and a large closet an my office behind. Behind is doable, but the wife isn't too excited about me running drain line around three walls of "our" office.........

Most likely, Im going to have to have an additional pump and a reservoir to get rid of the overflow water going up over a few doorways, into our laundry room, but it's still going to be pretty visible.........

Love this tank. I just got my Neptune Apex for Christmas and love tinkering with it. The programming possibilities are endless. Of course my wife thinks I'm a complete geek when I turn off and on the lights of my tank when I'm sitting on the couch using my iPhone... lol.

For an Auto-Water Changer/Auto Top Off have you considered a SpectraPure LiterMeter III? I'll be adding one to my future monster build for sure. No way I'll be wanting to break out the python for weekly WC's on that one. Check this thread out for some inspiration..
