I'll take lots of pics and try my best to explain and point out things that i dont like ir made mistakes with to hopefully make your build easier.

So far i wish i would have been able to make the stand a little higher but rhis was as high as i could go or it wouldnt have fit in the basement. Really not enough room to do everything i wanted to. May have to use the one 2inch gate. Plus the 2x 1.5 inch gates still havent arrived.

Also i definitely like the idea of the larger Edrain but not sure how its placement will play out. May have been better off to put it in the middle hole instead of on the end. If you decide to go that route make sure and let chris know what its for. I screwed ul and just told him i wanted one bulkhead to be 2 inches and to put it kn the end towards the middle of the tank. He assumed it was being plumbed to the sump and make a 2 inch bulkhead hole on the sump so i'll bave to reduce down to 1.5 to accommodate.

Im probably going to start with the return tank side and work my way down.

Initially i was going to lay 4x4 under the stand to raise it a bit but between getting the movers here and just normal craziness i totally forgot

whats the height of your stand? and thanks for the help I am going to be living vicariously through you on this build for sure lol. But ill be following along closely. Constantly planning. But I think Ill do my edrains on the outside instead of inside so it will be easier to tee the siphons? And you have 1.5" siphons and a 2" edrain correct?

You could still do the 4x4 idea. That's what I did to the top and bottom of my stand for the extra height. If I were you, I would get a few friends to help you slip out the plywood, and then attach a set of 4x4's all the way around the perimeter and across where your cross braces are at. Then, slip I think back under the tank and you will have an extra 3.5" of height. You could also add them to the bottom for another 3.5", but you want to make sure you attach them to the frame well so there's no chance o fix slipping off.

Right. Lets see how the drains come together. With the siphon in the middle i think it would be easier if going with seperate gates. Siphon in the end may be better for using the 1 gate. Lets see how it pans out.

Not an option. No friends new town it will be fine just a p.it.a for the initial install

Yep that might be your best option. I guess since you will have four filter socks and two seperate gates you will have to tee both sides off and drain. Might get a little tricky with your space provided?

Got the tank side of the returns mocked up. Already happy that i had chris move the bulkhead towads the middle of the tank.

Both nozzles at an even length from the tee.

I like this better just not sure how far i want the nizzle furthest from the overflow to extend from the tee.

This is witha 2 inch length of pipe (not two inches from the tee)

White pvc with be painted. Not sure the length of the loclines but i can always just unscrew them after its up and running to add/remove.

Yeah i think i'll have to play with different options. Hopefully those gates arrive soon.

To raise the tank and stand all together just use 2 car jacks.. no pain or break a tail bone while lifting off the floor. Like other mentioned screw down the 4x4 to the stand so it won't slide off. I only have the 4x4 on the full length of the stand and not the sides since my sump are almost the tank length. GL keep up the pics n Qs.. LoL
