Hi I may be able to get a 300 litre (80 gallon) aquarium soon I would like some suggestions on potential stock ideas I want predatory fish but want be able to upgrade the tank any time soon so I want fish that won't out grow the tank. This will be my largest aquarium so I would like somthing large and somthing intresting to feed I would prefer it not to be filled with bright chiclids species so my ideas for the aquarium would be
-2 oscars
-1 bichir
- 3 pitcus
-1 Black ghost knife fish
-2/3 rope fish
- clown Loach or other similar sized bottom dwellers
- flowerhorn( I understand they can be aggressive to other fish but if I get a juvenile and introduced it to the aquarium last would it be fine)

I understand I might not be able to have all of them but any input will be appreciated

Would it be suitable for 1 oscar because I'm not overly bothered about the numbers and I'm happy to change them but I would like to have each species so are they compatible and what about a peacock bass because Google says a 75 gallon but I'm not sure if that is big enough

Also my water change schedule would be 50% every week just incase that helps with the possibility for the fish

If what I suggested won't work which it seems it won't can you give me suggestions for a predator tank that will be suitable and if possible including my suggestions

A 50% water change may be good until that 1 oscar hits about 4 inches, but the larger the oscar gets, the more water that will need to be changed.
With one 12" oscar in an 80 gal. I would say 3 X 80% water changes per week would be minimal.
IMO in an 80 gal tank, no cichlid that gets larger 8", but in that size range there are about 1,000 different cichlid species, perhaps 300 are considered predators.
Below Lepidolamrologus elongatus, an 8" African predator. (or another of the genus Lepidiolamprologus)

Most Central American "predators get too large for an 80 gal.
There are some smaller Pike Cichlids from S America that would work.
A Crenicichla species below.
