i dont think water and wood goes to much to gether my last tank condensation was hard to deal with on diffent days of weather i used marine ply 25mm for base but thats it really thats not that cheap but you can get some good resins to cover wood with now days,and im better with bricks and steel than with wood ,i just wanted to keep it as simple and as long lasting as possable really.the glass tank can have the corners cut out and redone in 15 -20 years if need be and be re-used should last well we will see. no condesation issuse round sumps now all dry around them im pleased with the results there.i added 2 canister fillters as well to fine clean the water, wood is leaching a lot still thou.Yanbbrox;4567975; said:Cracking build, great job all around, do you think is would have been cheaper to diy a plywood tank or did you just want the glass?
