hey i was thinking.. would you be able to do this with an all glass tank? i was just wondering because i have an extra 55gal lying around and i wouldn't mind trying this out. I was thinking if i could just disassemble front pane glass, cut it to hight of waterline, and then reseal it back to frame ( i hate cleaning evaporated lime deposit on glass especially if water level is midway)
then attach glass sliders above? do you think it would work? has anyone tried it?

hey Hawaiianfishkee - what are the dimensions of the tank? Have you consider flipping it on it's side and adding one more glass panel ? =] Just an idea
